Take Time to Sharpen Your Axe | The Wonderfully Made Podcast
“If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I would spend 6 of those hours sharpening my axe.” – Abraham Lincoln While I am not positive Abraham Lincoln was the first to say this, I do believe it is a powerful quote. Sometimes we don’t feel we have time to dedicate to learning, because there is so much to do. The catch is, all we have to do would be easier if we took time for learning. In changing my mindset, I am really beginning to accept that I need to dedicate more time to learning. Practice makes progress. Lacking Motivation
I wish it weren’t true, but sometimes I wake up just not feeling like doing what I need to do. If I wait around for the motivation to come, it usually doesn’t. The only cure is to force myself to start, and once I do I usually get a good rhythm going. This is especially true for exercise. Many have said to me they admire my dedication for being active 5-6 days a week. I honestly don’t always feel like it, and it isn’t always a stellar work out, but I do always get a little something done. I show up. I start. https://www.instagram.com/p/BXBIc_kgXyf/?taken-by=divinehostess Maybe this is tougher than…

Cucumber Noodles with Avocado Pesto | The Divine Hostess
Hey healthy bunnies! Lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve been dragging my feet with keeping my flare ups in check. About 2 years ago, I found out that I had a laundry list of foods of which I was highly reactive to and it’s been a journey. When inflammation happens anywhere in the body, it is sort of like an alarm. Lately there has been a lot of medicine that reduces inflammation, but I am interested in understanding why it is there in the first place. I know certain foods, lack of sleep, and even emotionally tough times can cause my body to react poorly. As a result,…

January Favorites: Healthy Finds
Hey healthy bunnies, I tried a few awesome items this month and want to share them with you. It’s always nice to find tasty foods which I’m not allergic to and can also enjoy guilt-free. I’m thinking of doing a series soon on living with food intolerances. What do you think? Here’s the first item…. Quinoa patties: they’re pretty mild in flavor, so nothing to rave about there– but you can do a lot with sauces or avocado. What I love is that there is no wheat, no nuts, no soy, and no rice. There’s just quinoa, coconut out, arrowroot powder and a few other veggies. Serenity turmeric juice: what…
