My latest episode is titled: The Chains of Fear. Journey with me through a one-day snapshot of the life of Clara. She is smart, responsible, and meticulous. But, is there more to her story? Are her actions rooted in prudence, or something more harmful?
I think you may find a little of yourself in Clara. I know I did.
Have you ever considered that the blessings you receive are also meant you shape you and grow you in an incredible way? I say this because, sometimes we pray for a thing and it comes sooner than we expect. Maybe if we are honest, we didn’t expect it to come at all. It could be a job, or love, or any other new opportunity. When it comes, how do we respond?
A lot of us have a hard time believing we deserve the things we pray for, and as a result we can end up forfeiting our blessings because we refuse them or simply cannot even see them at all.
In this episode, I explore a way to reframe the story so that we are can get unstuck and begin to enjoy the good things that come into our lives. I hope you enjoy!
Setting the tone at the beginning of the day is helpful, but don’t be afraid to revisit if things get a bit off kilter as the day progresses. Listen to these affirmations as often as you need, and please share with others who may need a boost!
“If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I would spend 6 of those hours sharpening my axe.” – Abraham Lincoln
While I am not positive Abraham Lincoln was the first to say this, I do believe it is a powerful quote. Sometimes we don’t feel we have time to dedicate to learning, because there is so much to do. The catch is, all we have to do would be easier if we took time for learning.
In changing my mindset, I am really beginning to accept that I need to dedicate more time to learning. Practice makes progress.
Listen to this week’s episode:
I encourage you to ask yourself: What can I do today to dedicate time to sharpening my axe?
