Hey healthy bunnies! 🐰
How is your week kicking off so far? I hope today was both prosperous and productive.
I recently got new headshots for my blog and other media outlets. I try to keep mine as up to date as possible.
Since its spring, it made sense to keep it light and fun. I’m a fan of wearing white, taupe, and beige. I think it’s a nice contrast with my skin tone.
I think my photographer, Osose did a fantastic job of capturing my personality and style.
This was my first time visiting the Venice canals, too. Super cute little neighborhood.
As you wrap up your Monday, I encourage you to take inventory. What needs to be done? What can be done? Have you planned your rest time, meals, and exercise? Don’t overwhelm yourself, but do sit and think. Let’s be intentional–it makes all the difference.
I’ve been working on some products and apparel that I know you will love.
For the products, they will be available very soon at this site. You can sign up and get an email as soon as it is launched! For my apparel, it will be available at my usual online store in just two weeks. I am so excited!
Right now, a lot of my gear is more focused on my women subscribers since they make up almost 90% of the audience, but I am open to ideas if there’s something you want to see for men.
Likely you’re reading this because you’re already subscribed to my blog for tips and recipes, or if you wandered to this site you’re someone interested in cooking or health.
A little about me, I recently finished a graduate program in mechanical engineering where I focused on solar cooking options for women in developing countries. It was such a good experience, and I honestly wish I had more time to explore.
Now I work full time and I haven’t saved the world yet, but I do make a little impact by working on reducing air pollution. In addition to this, in every moment of spare time I find, I devote myself to helping improving the quality of life of others around me by trading unhealthy habits for good ones! It’s really rewarding to hear stories of weight loss, improved strength, and even the elimination of the need of medication.
Going along with the theme of health, my most prized product is my book, The Divine Hostess: A guide to cooking, hosting & healthy living . I’m proud of this book because it is my way of sharing my personal experiences with learning to cook and discovering healthier ways to do so. Over the years I’ve found I can take charge of my health primarily by the way I choose to fuel my body, and I can have fun doing it!
If you haven’t purchased a copy, please stop by and do so today. You’ll be happy you did!
It it a small business Saturday and in honor of this, The Divine Hostess book is on sale for just $16! For those of you who don’t know, it is a cooking handbook for your cooking, hosting, and health needs. The recipes are simple, delicious, and wholesome. There are tips throughout the book that help you prepare things for guests for parties and special events. There’s even a sample menu for a Super Bowl party and a baby shower!
I often get asked, “Which do you believe is better– juicing or smoothies?” My short answer is…it really depends! Watch this video where I discuss the pros and cons of each. I hope to help you find the best solution to fit your lifestyle.
I also tried 3 raw cold pressed juices from Suja
GLOW: This one was my absolute favorite! It has a rich and deep flavor with just the sort of hint of sweetness I love. It has a ton of greens, but not not at all bitter or unpleasant in flavor. This gave me the best burst of energy.
PURIFY: If you are a fan of beets like I am, you’ll love this juicy and sweet drink. To me, carrot and beet were the dominate flavor.
FIJI: This one was yummy, but it was a bit anticlimactic after finding y favorite (glow). Apple was the dominate flavor here, and it did a little less to mute the flavor of the veggies, particularly the celery.
