What is settling really, and why do we do it? Is it because we are lazy, or don’t feel good about ourselves? Is it because we have a lapse in judgment?
I think it is fair to say we have all made a choice in our lives at some point that we later know was not the best.
How can we make the best choices for ourselves with the given information we have?
In this episode, we get into honest reflection about settling, why we do it, and it’s effects
“If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I would spend 6 of those hours sharpening my axe.” – Abraham Lincoln
While I am not positive Abraham Lincoln was the first to say this, I do believe it is a powerful quote. Sometimes we don’t feel we have time to dedicate to learning, because there is so much to do. The catch is, all we have to do would be easier if we took time for learning.
In changing my mindset, I am really beginning to accept that I need to dedicate more time to learning. Practice makes progress.
Listen to this week’s episode:
I encourage you to ask yourself: What can I do today to dedicate time to sharpening my axe?
Hope you all are well. Have you gotten a chance to listen to my podcast yet? If not, I’m done with Episode 2 and the 3rd episode will be live this Friday. If you have iTunes, it is also available there. I’d love it if you could leave me a review once you’ve listened.
I love this topic because it is all about taking yourself off of autopilot and being more mindful. You might surprise yourself into finding your true calling. You never know!
