“If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I would spend 6 of those hours sharpening my axe.” – Abraham Lincoln
While I am not positive Abraham Lincoln was the first to say this, I do believe it is a powerful quote. Sometimes we don’t feel we have time to dedicate to learning, because there is so much to do. The catch is, all we have to do would be easier if we took time for learning.
In changing my mindset, I am really beginning to accept that I need to dedicate more time to learning. Practice makes progress.
Listen to this week’s episode:
I encourage you to ask yourself: What can I do today to dedicate time to sharpening my axe?
Have you ever been guilty of comparing your journey to that of someone else? It’s easy to do and we do it rather unconsciously. Letting go of comparison opens us up for success and growing into the best possible version of ourselves. Through story I illustrate the dangerous limitations that comparison can place on our lives.
