As a little girl, I had very specific reasons for loving the fall season. Though I love mild weather, there was so much to love about the change of any season. I loved the sound of fallen leaves crunching under my feet as I skipped sidewalk squares on the way to school. I loved the bite in the air that caused me to have to consider one of the coats sitting in the back part of my closet. I loved the changing colors of foliage. Fall was also the time– with summer ending, that school would resume soon.
Thinking of the fall season makes me think of my mother’s rule– no new clothes until I had cleared out my closet of the ones I could no longer wear. This got me thinking– what things have not cleared from my life now, to make room for the things I desire most?
In this week’s podcast episode, I discuss the broader concept of “making room” and end with some wonderful affirmations as you become bolder and more clear about what it is you want.
