As I sit looking out the the window at sunny San Diego and enjoy the crisp air, it’s hard to believe that it’s already Christmas time. The year has almost come to a close!
I began shopping early this year, but as always I still had just a little more to do this week. I’m on a slim graduate student budget, but I still like to give my loved ones meaningful gifts. I did my shopping at small boutiques off he beaten path for vintage-inspired clutches, stylish cases for contact lenses, cheeky nail polish colors, and my all time favorite-things that are related to food. I took advantage of the near-Christmas sales and stopped by World Market for what turned out to be filled with the cutest trinkets and foods. I’ll admit that some things were purchased before I wen knew who I’d be gifting them to. All gifts were ranging from $1 to $5.99.
These 1 ounce olive oil bottles infused with flavors are sure to be a hit. A great gift for the budding chef who likes to experiment.
For the family member or friend that is obsessed with hot sauce, buy them minis so their supply will never run out at the wrong time.
Avid tea lover? Buy novelty honey of agave sweetener and an exotic tea blend. My favorite is Teavana, but there are many options out there!
There were also mini flavored coffees, sausages, cheese, hummus, holiday crackers and more. These are the makings of a great gift basket Among candies there was a range of chocolates, gummies, old fashioned candies and even a cute candy-filled Hello Kitty canister.
No matter what your budget, do not be dismayed. A small and memorable gift will be much appreciated. Don’t let the holidays drive you to overspend. Love is what brings holiday cheer. 🙂
